While taking a walk along our canal one sunny frozen day I could hear the crunch of the snow underfoot and see it sparkling as if Mother nature had sprinkled glitter at my feet. An owl was warily watching me from a frost covered cottonwood tree, flying just ahead of me, stopping at trees to watch my progress. He must have satisfied his curiosity, he had vanished when I turned to go back home. Living around a lake as large as Flathead Lake lends itself to many wonderful prospects depending on the season.
